ACT is pleased to announce the signing of our partnership agreement with the Direction of Prisons and Reeducation, which is under the Ministry of Justice.
We are very encouraged, as this will enable us to continue on in our current project work which seeks to increase quality of life and dignity for women that are, or have been, in prison in Sfax, El Kef and Jendouba.
Present at the signing on 16th of April were Mister Elias Alzalaaq, the Direction Générale des Prisons et de la Rééducation, and Adriaan Jagersma, General Director of ACT International.
The agreement covers the next five years of project work, until 2023.
“This agreement gives ACT the chance to expand its work,” says the Prison Project Manager, “as it now allows us to work with teenagers and men. We are hopeful for growth in this area.”
We are honoured by the approval of our work demonstrated by the Ministry of Justice with this signing. ACT looks forward to continuing to deliver this life-transforming work for the marginalised women of Tunisia.
